It's been awhile since I posted so here's a smogasbord of the photo cards I've made this year! I love doing these for fun so if you ever need or want a card for some reason, let me know! I'd be happy to make something up for you!

The Quilt is Finished!!

Well, finally with a small kick in the pants help from my mom, I finished Norah's receiving blanket quilt! I'm so happy with it and what makes me even happier is that Norah LOVES it! It's far from perfect but I have to say for my first attempt at really sewing something, I'm pretty proud of myself! Top picture is the front of the quilt and this is the back of the quilt. All made of blankets Norah had as a baby! Next up - Jack's blanket!

Quilt Update

Well, I've got the squares all cut for Norah's quilt. And now I bought a new sewing machine today so I can start sewing it together!

Norah would like a blanket for bunny so I think I'll make one for her with the extra squares I've got from her blankets. And then get started on Jack's - I'm sure he'll want one for puppy as well! Oh well, gives me something to do with the extra pieces!

A New Project!

Well, I've been inspired to take on a whole new project out of my comfort zone! I was thinking how neat it would be to make a quilt of some kind and what a sense of accomplishment it would be for me when it was finished. So I decided to take my kids' baby blankets and make a rag quilt for each of them. I still had all their baby blankets cause I couldn't bring myself to get rid of them yet it felt like such a waste to just keep them in a box in the closet. So I thought this would be a great solution to keep them around! So here are the stacks of blankets ready and waiting to be cut into squares!

Christmas Cards

The last few years I've really enjoyed making photo Christmas cards to send out. Here's the two I've done for our family, as well as one for my Mom last year.

Wedding Pages

My brother-in-law got married Sept. 11 and unfortunately we weren't all able to go to the wedding in Ontario. But Nate went and took some pictures so I scrapbooked those plus some pictures my mother-in-law sent me. Because it's so annoying to move pictures around on Blogger, they'll be in random order!
